Lo, some things are spiffy indeed

Despite the chaos I see everywhere and the lists of things to do I have (yes, I have multiple To Do lists…doesn’t everyone?), I feel like I’m slowly chipping away at the mountains and actually accomplishing something.

Still, I’m overdue at mentioning several very spiffy things!

First, Alison Tyler, who’s bought a number of my stories and is an author and editor who just amazes me (she has so much energy!), listed my story “The Queen of Christmas” as one of her favorites when it comes to, as she puts it, “happy porn.” I have to admit, the story makes me giggle every time I re-read it. So, thank you, Alison!

(If you want to read “The Queen of Christmas,” is available as an e-book from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Smashwords, as well as in the Alison-edited anthology Naughty or Nice: Christmas Erotica Stories. Oh, and if you like it? Please leave a review…kthnxbai.)

Second, let me direct you to this fabby review of Orgasmic: Erotica for Women, in which I have two stories, one as Andrea Dale and one as Kendra Wayne. Although neither of my stories is given a shout-out, I’m dead chuffed by the positive review of the anthology overall, because it is, in fact, a great one!

Third, I have spaghetti sauce in the slow cooker, veggies prepped for stir-fry tonight (the aforementioned sauce is for future meals/freezing), all the dishes are done, and Eostre and I had a nice long scritchies-and-purring session. Now I’m off to clean the sewing room and finish up a few projects in there. Later, I plan to finish and short story and get some copyediting done. :-)

Who am I today?

This question has come up in different forms: Why do I have so many pseudonyms? How do I find your non-erotic stuff/how do I tell the difference between your erotica vs non-erotic works?

Here’s a handy reference guide!

I have different pseudonyms because I write in different genres. It’s to help my readers easily find what they’re interested in. I also try very hard to be clear when I’m promoting something, what genre it’s in. If I say fantasy, I mean fantasy, not erotica. And so forth.

Dayle A. Dermatis – fantasy, science fiction, occasional non-fiction. I did sell one short, sweet romance story under this name, but it appeared in small presses a long time ago. When I put it up for sale as an e-book soon, I’ll use my sweet romance pseudonym (and if anyone is confused and buys the story and then realizes they’ve already read it, I’ll happily refund their money because if they’ve been a fan of mine for that long, they totally deserve it!).

Andrea Dale – erotica and erotic romance

Sophie Mouette – erotica and erotic romance co-authored with Teresa Noelle Roberts

Sarah Dale – spicy romance co-authored by with Sarah J. Husch

Kendra Wayne – erotica and erotic romance. An alternate name for Andrea Dale, really, for when I’m going to have two stories in the same anthology. Also the name I write under for Custom Erotica Source.

Andrea Loewen – romance, some with paranormal elements. There may be some sexual scenes, but if there are, they’re not full-on erotic. I haven’t yet sold anything under this name, but I have several things making the rounds.

All of my publications are listed at my website, divided up by pseudonym with the genre noted.

Questions? Comments? Fire away!

Released!

July has been a stellar month so far, because I’m so very proud of my erotic fairy tales in Alison’s Wonderland and Fairy Tale Lust. But the month’s not over yet, and I have two more releases to announce!

“Lost and Found” appears in Lesbian Lust: Erotic Stories, edited by Sacchi Green. We’ve all had vacations that go bad, especially when our luggage doesn’t arrive. For Lara, it was a working vacation in Hawaii, but she planned to sneak out at least once to take surfing lessons from a sloe-eyed, sultry native. Kinda hard to do that without a suit. Like all my stories, though, this does have a happy ending…

Here’s the full TOC:

The Girl with the Bettie Page Bangs, Sommer Marsden
Reunion at St. Mary’s, Catherine Lundoff
A Midwinter Night’s Dream, Fran Walker
Camshaft Cutie, Crystal Barela
August Crazies, Miel Rose
Lovers’ Moon, Ren Peters
The Office Grind, R. G. Emanuelle
Not Afraid to Get Her Hands Dirty, Teresa Noelle Roberts
Never Too Old, DeJay
Lost and Found, Andrea Dale
Canvas, Kenzie Mayer
The Angel Connection, CB Potts
A Story About Sarah, Cheyenne Blue
The Weekend, Delilah Devlin
Love and Devotion, Jove Belle
Are You Gonna Be My Girl?, Jade Melisande
Danger, Sacchi Green

Not due out ‘til next month, but available early (yay) is Rachel Kramer Bussel’s Orgasmic: Erotic Stories for Women. This one has two stories of mine, actually, both requested by Rachel (she was looking for specific themes, and I can’t resist a challenge!): “All She Wanted” as Andrea Dale and “Paying It Forward” by Kendra Wayne.

Here’s this one’s TOC:

The Waiting Game, Elizabeth Coldwell
What’s in a Name?, Jacqueline Applebee
Chemistry, Velvet Moore
The Chair, Lolita Lopez
Fixing the Pipes, Susie Hara
Share, Dusty Horn
Hurdles, Rowan Elizabeth
Seeing Stars, Louisa Harte
Old Faithful, Sylvia Lowry
Paying It Forward, Kendra Wayne
Feet on the Dashboard, Rachel Green
Frosting First, Lana Fox
All She Wanted, Andrea Dale
Making Shapes, Lily Harlem
Rapture, Angela Caperton
Rise and Shine, Heidi Champa
Taking the Reins, Vanessa Vaughn
First Date with the Dom, Noelle Keely
Animal Inside, Neve Black
The London O, Justine Elyot
Fight, Charlotte Stein
Switch, Jade Melisande

Too yummy for words, both of them!

Finally, this isn’t a new release, but a new format: The above-mentioned Alison’s Wonderland is available at Audible as an audio version! Even better, it's on sale right now! Don’t have time to read these exotic and erotic fairy stories in print? Get the audio version and enjoy them while you’re driving (well, that might not be safe, actually!) or cleaning the house (guaranteed your goal will change to dirty!) or working out (they say it’s good exercise, you know!), or…

Enjoy!

Sexy as sin

Although technically I haven’t “sold” a story until the check is in my hot little hands (or the payment is in my hot little Paypal account), I usually can’t contain myself by the time the countersigned contract arrives. So now I shall burble: I sold two stories to Rachel Kramer Bussel’s Orgasmic: Erotica for Women!

Look at that cover. Isn’t she sexy as sin?

Orgasmic

Both of my stories were essentially written by request. I’d submitted one story, and then Rachel put out a call that she needed a pregnancy story and an anal story. Oddly enough, I already had the first couple pages of a pregnancy story (yes, I know, me?! That’s why they call it “making stuff up.”), so I finished it and fired it off to her, and then wrote an anal story, and she accepted both of those and rejected the initial story that I’d sent.

This amuses me to no end.

Anyway, the book is available for pre-order at many fine establishments (Amazon, Powells, B&N, etc.) and is due out August 1, 2010.

(Good Lord and Lady, but promo takes time. I’m posting this here, adding the stories to my website, downloading the cover, uploading the cover to Flickr, adding the cover to iPhoto, adding the cover to Facebook, adding the cover here, and e-mailing my web goddess to ask her to add a new bibliography section for my Kendra Wayne pseudonym. Phew! And to think I have writing to do, too!)
