Er, um, ok, Anonymous? hmmm. Not quite sure where you were going there but here I go: I have been desperately trying to get my writing speed up and dismally failing. Have been told by that Dean guy we both know that it's possible to do 250 words in 15 minutes and I am aiming for that, but still have a long way to go. Kudos, Dayle, for the Write or Die ethic. I think I need to pin your sign up next to my computer along with that 'dare to suck' sign somebody else came up with at my Master Class. =)
I used to think my max speed was 250 words in 15 minutes--and Write or Die completely changed that for me! The basic idea is, if you stop typing, the background starts flashing and eventually there are bad noises, etc. I can't stop, so I'm always leaving notes in [brackets] or just rambling, but it gets me going and the next thing I know, I've beat my goal.
DAYLE A. DERMATIS has been called “one of the best writers working today” by USA Today bestselling author Dean Wesley Smith. Under various pseudonyms (and sometimes with coauthors), she’s sold several novels and more than 100 short stories in multiple genres. She lives and works in California within scent of the ocean, and in her spare time follows Styx around the country and travels the world, all of which inspires her writing. She loves music, cats, Wales, TV, magic, laughter, and defying expectations. To find out where she is today, check out www.DayleDermatis.com.
